1. Accessing TCL Corporation email system:

Setting up secure SMTP/POP3 connection:

Recommended using email client such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Foxmail6.0 or above, config with:

            SMTP: mail.tcl.com   Port:25
            POP3: mail.tcl.com   Port: 995

Notice: Sending email use this method, SMTP authentication must be set, please Check the box next to "this server need with (SSL) connect".

Recommended using email client such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Foxmail6.0 or above, config with:

            SMTP: mail.tcl.com    Port:25
            POP3: mail.tcl.com    Port: 110

Notice: Sending email use this method, SMTP authentication must be set.

Sending/Receiving email by Outlook Web Access( OWA)

Internet Explore 5.0 or above is recommended. Display resolution requires 800x600 or above, color depth is 16-bit or above.

Access URL is http://webmail.tcl.com

 

2.How can I access my email when I out of office?
You are able to send/receive email at all over the world by using OWA or SMTP/POP3, it has the same settings as when you are in office.

Notice: For security concern, some hotels filter SMTP traffic, that make you cannot send email out. To solve this issue, please use OWA or secure SMTP connection.

 

3.My outlook Express can receive email, but cannot send out.

The most possible cause is SMTP authentication not be set;
Other cause is to be impacted by certain anti-virus software. When secure connection is used, email monitor of some anti-virus software must be disabled.

  

4.How can I change language setting of OWA?

OWA uses language setting of web browser when it was run at the first time, it cannot be changed by normal configuring.There are two methods to change the language setting of OWA:

Method 1: Configure your own Exchange account in Microsoft Outlook 2000 or 2003, make sure it is working. Close Microsoft Outlook and click Start-Run to execute command: Outlook.exe /resetfoldernames. Next time you access OWA, it will be changed to the default language of your operating system.

Method 2: Empty your mailbox, tell your Mail-administrator your preferred language setting. Administrator will delete your mailbox and crated a new one. Next time you access OWA, it will be changed to the default language of your operating system.

 

5, OWA won’t work properly.

OWA requires IE 5.0 or above, please check version of IE.
Wrong browser encode setting.

 

6. Logon OWA failed

user actions:
1) Make sure logon use correct username ad password;
2) Purge cache of Internet Explorer, then access OWA again;
3) To use other account to logon OWA;
4) Logon OWA on other computer;

 

7. SMTP/POP3 was configured properly, but client cannot send/receive email:

DNS resolving is not refreshed, or DNS is not configured properly. Contact with your network administrator to get assistance.

 

8.Cannot access email in Intranet.

Your network may has wrong configured route. Contact with your network administrator to get assistance.

 

9.System limits 50 recipients per message, how can I send message beyond that limit?

Split recipients to several groups, each group has less than 50 recipients.

 

10.Maximum size of attachments per message is 10M, how can I send attachment which is larger than 10M?

Use splitting tool to split file into several smaller than 10M parts.

 

11.Does the email system have anti-virus function?

Yes, it has. But it only scan and cleaning incoming emails. Your computer is also required to install anti-virus software to prevent virus infection by file sharing, Internet surfing.

 

12.Password is incorrect or forgotten.

Contact with your Mail-administrator to get assistance.
Notice: After account goes into effect, please change your password immediately and periodically.

 

13.Mailbox has limited space(50M), how to keep it has enough space and save emails at the same time?

Move emails to your local computer before your mailbox getting full.

 

14.I cannot understand or resolved issues I met, whom I can look for help?

Please contact with Mail-administrator or helpdesk of your company.

 

15.I have not received email for a long time, other people cannot send email to me, why?

Perhaps your mailbox is already full (50M), your must to delete some emails to empty out enough space for incoming emails.

 

16.How to permanently delete selected emails in OWA?

Deleted emails were moved to “Deleted Items” folder, delete emails in it will delete emails permanently.
